July is the month of fire!
July is considered the month of fire! It conjures up images of cookouts and campfires and passion! Spells using fire and hot summer nights are definitely the ticket this month. Magical, mysterious, fantastic things happen during the month of July. According to the New York Skies blogger, Cheryl Costa, the month of July is the month with the most frequent UFO sightings. It is also one of the best months to spellcraft! Could it be that a certain portal opens up during the warm summer weeks preceding the Autumn Equinox? You certainly don't have to be a card carrying witch to utilize something that makes your spellcrafting more potent! Take advantage of every opportunity the Universe brings you to manifest your best life. The full moon in July comes early this year. It is known as the Buck Moon because it is the time of year when new antlers begin to grow on the heads of bucks. The Buck Moon can be used to manifest new things...a new beginning with your loved ones, a new career, a new home, or just a new attitude of gratitude. Send positive energy up to the Universe and ask for special favors for you or someone else. Write your requests down on homemade paper or a piece of bark and cast them into the fire. This helps you concentrate and target your focus. And if you believe in the power of prayer (which absolutely exists, btw!), compose a prayer to God (a rhyming poem works best because you can easily remember it!). Whichever method you use to craft spells, remember, it is all about targeted thought. Targeted thought is the tether that connects us to the universal energy that, historically, we have called...magic. That brings us to this month's blog topic about one of the most mysterious spell books in the world....The Voynich Manuscript. The Voynich Manuscript In the dark corners of history lies a haunting enigma that has confounded scholars and mystics alike—the Voynich Manuscript. Wrapped in an air of mystery, this ancient artifact emerges from the shadows like a malevolent specter, taunting those who dare to uncover its secrets. Its vellum pages, once glossy and vibrant, have now turned to a sickly shade of yellow, as if tainted by some sinister force that defies human comprehension. The story of the Voynich Manuscript begins in the year 1912 when the book's namesake, the enigmatic rare book dealer Wilfrid Voynich, stumbles upon it in a dusty antiquarian bookstore in Italy. Its origin and author remain unknown to this day. Some say it was penned by the devil's own hand because the writing resembles no known language. Its script resembles alien hieroglyphics that taunts linguists and those who dare try to decode it. The illustrations that accompany the cryptic text are equally disturbing. Grotesque botanical drawings of peculiar plants that defy the laws of nature, and celestial diagrams that seem to hint at cosmic horrors lurking just beyond the veil of reality. Its pages depict the darkest corners of the human mind, a reflection of the terrors that reside within us all. Countless theories have been woven around the Voynich Manuscript, each more chilling than the last. Some believe it to be a witches' grimoire, a conduit to the dark arts that can be used for either good or evil and bestow unspeakable power upon its possessor. Others whisper that it is the product of an otherworldly mind, a message from extraterrestrial beings trying to communicate with humanity—a message we were never meant to comprehend. Over the years, the Voynich Manuscript has left a trail of misfortune and madness in its wake. Many who have dared to study its pages have met with untimely ends, their minds unraveling like frayed threads as they obsessively delve deeper into its enigmatic passages. It is as if the book itself feeds on the curiosity of those who dare to gaze upon its secrets. Some say the manuscript is cursed, its good or evil magic, depending on how it is used, binding it to the bloodlines of those who explore it, forever haunting their every step. It remains a tantalizing enigma—a puzzle that may never be solved, a chilling keeper of secrets. Today, the original Voynich Manuscript remains securely locked away at Yale University, hidden from the prying eyes of the world. Fortunately, there are copies available in print and digital versions for those brave enough to take on the task of trying to decifer it. But a word of caution: if you do decide to travel that path, use the spells and messages you discover inside the codex for good! Welcome to Witchiepedia. Everyone feels a bit 'witchie' from time to time. Why not use those random moods to your advantage? Pagan magic has been around for thousands of years. It was used to forecast planting seasons and harvests, pray for rain, set intentions and desires and heal the sick. The darker forms were even used to punish enemies. But the overriding reason for spellcrafting was to be in control of one's fate, because early humans lived in a very scary world. With the benefit of hindsight, we now know that what was historically called witchcraft was actually targeted thought that used spellcrafting to help witches focus on what they wanted to manifest. That's why the practice was called 'the craft'. Books like The Secret have now brought the idea of manifesting into the mainstream. Witchiepedia hopes to do the same by shining a bright light on all kinds of practical spells that will help you focus on what you want. We will explore things that work and things that don't, from a practical and scientific point of view,. We will investigate why some practitioners of targeted thought call themselves witches while others call themselves motivational speakers. The goal of Witchiepedia is to make targeted thought fun and easy to understand by teaching you how to craft spells that help you focus on what you want so you will become amazing at manifesting your best life.
